28 – 30 May 2011 @ Caldmore Village Festival
Caldmore is an area of Walsall with its own unique heritage. Over the May bank holiday weekend Caldmore Village Festival will be celebrating the multi-cultural diversity of Caldmore and its people using song and dance. Last year’s event was a big success and 2011 will be even bigger and better!
This year we are creating a combined performance of more than a hundred voices drawing on people from local choirs. If you are members of a choir and would like to get involved then we would like to hear from you. The organisers will be looking to build a performance around gospel music, you would need to have basic knowledge of performance and be available to rehearse during evenings leading up to the festival. The performance will be staged early evening on Sunday 29th May.
To register interest or to get further information please contact Eric telephone 07903 403057 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can you sing, dance, play an instrument? Are you a poet? Do you enjoy telling jokes, acting, mime or can you do magic tricks? Would you like to be in a choir or band?
We are looking for participants to take part in a performance to showcase local talent and/or for people to be involved in a choir/band as part of Caldmore Village Festival. This opportunity is open to all ages, individuals or groups are welcome to join!
Auditions will take place on…
Friday 15th and 22nd January 2010 7pm-9pm @ Blue Coat CofE Comprehensive School, A Performing Arts Specialist College, Birmingham Street, Walsall, WS1 2ND.
With rehearsals for the showcase taking place on Friday evenings (dates tbc).
If you would like to audition or to come along and take part in the choir please contact Darryll Prew via email on email@example.com or Alan Cheeseman via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 01922 646724, for further details.
What a fantastic turn out at the Caldmore Green carol service on Saturday 19th December! 40 or more people turned up to sing their hearts out and to partake in a little mulled wine drinking! A big thank you to Father Roger and all who were in attendance!
The White Lion also organised a little bit of merriment with carols on the evening of Thursday 17th December…
